WINDHOEK: President Hifikepunye Pohamba has called upon newly accredited ambassadors and high commissioners to Namibia to strengthen the “already excellent” relations between Namibia and their respective countries.
Eleven ambassadors and two high commissioners presented their credentials to President Pohamba at State House on Wednesday.
“We have no doubt that during your term of office here as ambassadors and high commissioners, you will be able to strengthen the already excellent relations between our country and your respective countries, particularly when it comes to economic relations,” he noted.
The Head of State further expressed Namibia’s appreciation to those countries for the political and material contribution rendered to the Namibian people before and after Independence.
The ambassadors and high commissioners who presented their letters of credentials are from Germany, China, Norway, Gabon, Ecuador, Colombia, Hungary, Belarus, Denmark, New Zealand, Slovak Republic, Bangladesh and Panama.
