Burkina Faso Placed in Pool B for U17 UFOA-B Tournament


ABIDJAN — The Cadet Stallions of Burkina Faso have been drawn into Pool B of the upcoming Union of West African Federations Zone B (UFOA-B) tournament, which serves as a qualifier for the African Nations Championship (CAN) under 17. The draw, conducted on Friday in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, positions Burkina Faso alongside Nigeria, Togo, and Niger.



According to Burkina Information Agency, As reported by local media sources, Pool A features the host nation Ghana, along with Ivory Coast and Benin. Nigeria, the defending champions, claimed the previous tournament by defeating Burkina Faso 2-1 in Cape Cost, Ghana. The upcoming tournament will take place in Accra, Ghana, from May 15 to 29, featuring a total of seven teams divided into two pools. The event is set to showcase some of the region’s most promising young talents as they compete for a spot in the continental tournament.
