Fabrice Zango Clinches Silver at Diamond League’s Opening in Xiamen

XIAMEN — Burkinabè triple jumper Hugues Fabrice Zango secured a silver medal at the Diamond League’s first stage in Xiamen, China, trailing behind Portuguese jumper Pedro Pablo Pichardo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Zango, who is the reigning triple world champion, achieved a distance of 17.12 meters. His competitor, Pichardo, managed to outjump him with a distance of 17.51 meters. The competition sets the stage for what promises to be a series of intense matchups between the two athletes at the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris this July.
