Bobo Dioulasso Reports Arrival of Captain Ibrahim Traoré for Development Initiatives

BOBO DIOULASSO – The city of Bobo Dioulasso welcomed Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the President of the Transition in Burkina Faso, who arrived to spearhead a series of development activities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Captain Traoré is in the city to attend the opening ceremony of the 21st edition of the SNC, launch road development and asphalting projects, and initiate the construction of the Textile Industrial Complex of the Forces of Burkina Faso (TEXFORCES-BF). The newspaper highlighted that the President will also inaugurate an agro-food unit dedicated to the production of edible oil.

The local reception for Captain Traoré was enthusiastic, with crowds gathering in both Houndé and Bobo Dioulasso to express their support for his leadership and the ongoing Transition, reported the private newspaper Le Pays.

In addition, the Paalga Observer covered the financial contributions made by the Confederation of Charismatic Churches of the New Generation, noting a donation of 1,500,000 to the Patriotic Support Funds. This amount was raised during a prayer session on April 11, demonstrating widespread community support.

The public daily Sidwaya also spotlighted cultural engagement activities, detailing an event at Aube Nouvelle University where students immersed themselves in Chinese culture under the guidance of the Confucius Institute director, Zhang Wei. The initiative included lessons in calligraphy, martial arts, and traditional tea ceremonies, aiming to foster a deeper understanding of Chinese traditions among students.
