Balé Youth Council Celebrates Achievements and Patriotism in Boromo


BOROMO – The Provincial Youth Council of Balé marked its first year of activities with an accountability day on Saturday, April 20, 2024, reviewing its accomplishments and reinforcing its commitment to local youth and community development.



According to Burkina Information Agency, president of the Provincial Youth Council, the past year from April 2023 to 2024 has been filled with significant actions as outlined in their plan. These included the establishment of municipal offices across all ten municipalities of the province and ensuring youth representation in municipal council decision-making bodies. The event, held in Boromo, was attended by youth associations, administrative officials, and local actors, with proceedings led by Moussa Seré, the director in charge of youth and professional training.



The day also featured the “Evening of Honor,” an awards ceremony recognizing individuals who have significantly supported youth development, entrepreneurship, sports, culture, and social cohesion. Among the honored was Ibrahim Boly, the high commissioner of the province, who expressed his admiration for the young people’s dedication to community initiatives and their patriotic spirit.



Furthermore, Boly encouraged the youth to continue their efforts in patriotic awakening and service to their homeland, reaffirming his and his administration’s commitment to prioritizing youth concerns.



The celebrations were capped off with a football match, symbolizing the strong ties between the youth council and provincial authorities, highlighting a successful year of collaborative efforts and mutual support.
