The government strategies to ensure better food and nutritional security to the citizens will, among other things, be the highlights that Angola is planning to display at EXPO Milan 2015, set for May 1 to October 31, in Italy.
The information was provided by the National Commissioner of Angola to Expo, Albina Assis Africano, during the launch of the advertising campaign of the country’s presence in the exhibition, which will participate with the theme “Food and Culture, Educate: To Innovate”.
Albina Africano requested, on the other hand, the support of the provincial government and other state institutions to contribute in this campaign in schools, hospitals, and other locations in order to achieve the stated objectives.
To this end, the Expo Commission launched a cartoon brochure, which pays tribute to the role of rural women for all that they represent in the context of food production in Angola.
In her turn, the State secretary for Family and Women Promotion, Ana Paula Sacramento, who was present at the time, assured full availability to support the work of the Preparatory Commission of the EXPO with regard to this campaign.
“We will hand out the booklets to all who work with the Ministry of Family and Women Promotion, both in awareness and training, in the education of families, so that we take good advantage of food,” she said.
