KEETMANSHOOP: A 10-year-old boy saved his mother’s life after their dwelling caught fire on Tuesday last week in the Tseiblaagte residential area.
Rebekka Boois and her oldest son, Johan Henry Boois, were inside the shack when it suddenly caught fire. Boois told Nampa yesterday in front of their burnt-out shack that she just froze when she saw smoke, and her son (Johan Henry) ran out but she was still stuck frozen inside as the fire intensified.
He returned to push her out of the burning shack, and they get out. Boois does not know what caused the fire, because there were no lit candles or matches. When the fire brigade showed up later, the fire already destroyed all their belongings.
