WINDHOEK: A man was arrested by members of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Drug Enforcement Unit here in the early hours of today while in possession of dagga worth about N.dollars 1,9 million.

Khomas Regional Police Commander, Commissioner Festus Shilongo confirmed the arrest of the alleged drug dealer in a telephonic interview with Nampa this morning.

According to the regional police chief, the suspected drug dealer was arrested in the Brakwater area through the police’s own intelligence-led operations.

The dagga was found hidden in a truck, Shilongo said.

The suspected drug dealer, whose name cannot be made public at the moment as he is yet to appear before court, is scheduled to make his first appearance in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court along Luderitz Street tomorrow morning.
