WINDHOEK: Twenty-five Government employees today received certificates after successfully completing Microsoft System Administration training at the Polytechnic of Namibia (PoN) here.
The training covered configuring and troubleshooting Windows server 2008 active directory domain services; configuring, managing and troubleshooting Microsoft exchange server 2010; and configuring and administering Microsoft SharePoint 2010.
Other subjects included implementing forefront threat management gateway 2010, and implementing forefront protection 2010 for exchange and SharePoint.
Addressing the graduates, PoN Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research, Andrew Niikondo said Microsoft is the world leader in computer software.
Therefore, Namibia should not be end-users of that technology, but should develop the required skills in information communication and technology (ICT) in order to become a relevant player in ICT.
