SATOTWA: A 12-year-old boy hanged himself in his sleeping hut at the Satotwa village, situated on the western outskirts of Rundu on Saturday evening.
The incident apparently happened after the minor boy’s parents prohibited him from going to the river with friends.
According to a Namibian Police crime bulletin issued to Nampa on Monday, relatives of the boy identified as Julius Ndumba found his body hanging in the hut with a copper wire tied around his neck.
In an unrelated incident, a 62-year-old woman from the Sivara village was also found dead in a pond.
Rosina Mudi Hamuntenya’s body was discovered by three children.
Kavango Regional Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Crime Investigations’ Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Willie Bampton told this reporter on Monday that no foul play was suspected as there were no signs of injuries on the body of the deceased.
