Ethiopian Airlines Praised for Leading MRO Services in Africa

ADDIS ABABA — Ethiopian Airlines has been recognized for its excellence in maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, not just for its own fleet but for other airlines globally. In an interview with ENA, Zemedeneh Negatu, Global Chairman of Fairfax Africa Fund, highlighted the airline’s extensive MRO capabilities, which are among the largest and most advanced in the world.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, Ethiopian Airlines serves as a critical hub for aircraft maintenance in Africa, offering services that significantly reduce the need for African carriers to send aircraft abroad for expensive repairs.

The airline’s MRO facility, certified by all major manufacturers, plays a vital role in supporting the aviation sector across the continent by providing high-quality, accessible services.
