Teen in serious condition after stabbing in Batemans Bay
Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred on Wednesday night on the South Coast after an 18-year-old man was involved in an altercation.
Three men left a licensed premises on Batemans Bays’ Orient St, walking toward a taxi rank when they were approached by a group of men.
Police understand a fight broke out between two of the men, with one of them allegedly stabbing the 18-year-old several times.
The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Canberra Hospital, where he was in a serious but stable condition.
Police said they spoke to three men nearby shortly after the incident but they were released pending further inquiries.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing and police are urging anyone with any information to contact detectives from Batemans Bay Police Station via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or the NSW Crime Stoppers website. Information can be given anonymously.
