ONGWEDIVA: The Ministry of Trade and Industry will hold a business information workshop at the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair (OATF) on Tuesday.
The week-long OATF kicked off at Ongwediva in the Oshana Region on Friday. It is taking place at the Ongwediva Trade Fair Centre, where the ministry’s stand is situated at the Queen Hall.
In an interview with Nampa here on Sunday, the ministry’s trade promotion officer Ndinelao Heitha-Ndingoya said the workshop will deliberate on issues such as patents, trademarks and design; small and medium enterprise (SME) support programmes; procedures and requirements for import and export permits, liquor licencing, and the Export Processing Zone regime and incentives, amongst other things.
She called on the general public to attend the workshop in order to gain more information on the topics to be discussed.
Meanwhile, the ministry has this year sponsored 18 SMEs who are exhibiting their products and services at the OATF.
The 18 SMEs, which hail from all 13 regions, are involved in the crafts, textile and hospitality industries.
The trade fair ends next Saturday.
