Swapo-Party MP Alexia Ncube’s husband dies

WINDHOEK: Jabulani Manonambe Ncube, husband to Swapo-Party Member of Parliament (MP) Alexia Ncube, died over the weekend.

Jabulani Ncube allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with a revolver in front of the couple’s house in Khomasdal on Saturday.

Khomas Regional Police Commander, Commissioner Festus Shilongo confirmed Ncube’s death in a media statement availed to Nampa on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Shilongo, family members of the deceased person who were inside the house on Saturday heard a gunshot sound, upon which they went outside to investigate. Upon emerging from the house, they found the deceased lying on the pavement next to his motor vehicle.

Jabulani Ncube was pronounced dead by police officers and paramedics who arrived at the scene within minutes.

A revolver which relatives positively identified as Ncube’s property was found next to his body, Shilongo stated.

It is not yet known why Ncube ended his life, and police investigations into the matter are underway.
