OTJIWARONGO: The Otjiwarongo Agricultural Show and Trade Fair is set to kick off on Monday next week, with over 200 local and international exhibitors.

It will run from Monday to Wednesday at the Paresis show grounds.

Otjiwarongo Municipality public relations officer (PRO) Hilaria Ndadi said in an interview with Nampa on Monday that the preparatory committee has split activities into agriculture, environment, entertainment, road safety awareness campaigns, marketing of corporate companies, ministries, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The agriculture category involves exhibitions of local small and large livestock, while entertainment comprises of musicians from Namibia and South Africa, as well as a boxing bonanza by local young boxers.

“The environment section has snakes, camels and other wild game, amongst others, on display,” said Ndadi.

Exhibitors from Botswana, Nigeria and South Africa have booked stalls for this year’s show.

She urged Namibians as well as international exhibitors still interested to participate in the central town’s business show, to book their stalls before this Friday.

Stalls are still available for N.dollars 500 for SMEs, and N.dollars 1 500 for corporate companies.

The entry fee is N.dollars 10 for adults, while other visitors such as children and pensioners go in for free.
