OPUWO: The Opuwo State District Hospital will receive new three ambulances at the end of this month.
Nampa learned about the new ambulances from the Director of Health for the Kunene Region, Thomas Tjapumba on Tuesday.
The ambulances would be handed over to the region by the Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr. Richard Kamwi on 31 July this year at a ceremony organized for that here.
According to an invitation letter circulated to all line ministries in Opuwo and Private Agencies the ceremony will be jointly done with the official ground breaking and handing over of the side for construction of the maternity ward for the Opuwo State District Hospital.
In May this year the community of Opuwo complained to the office of Shapumba after a delay of the hospital to pick up casualties at the accident scene about 17 kilometers south of Opuwo and one person died in the Hospital after there was no ambulance to transfer her to the Oshakati State Hospital.
