SHAKAMBU: The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Kavango Region on Wednesday arrested a 38-year-old man after he allegedly repeatedly raped his 12-year-old daughter at the Shakambu village, situated on the southern outskirts of Rundu.
NamPol’s Kavango Regional acting Crime Coordinator, Detective Inspector Chrispin Mubebo told Nampa on Thursday that the suspect has allegedly been raping his daughter from 2008 up to 12 August this year, when the incident was reported to the police.
The headwoman of the Shakambu village, who asked not to be named, reported the incident to the police.
The suspect allegedly also threatened to kill his three other children since 1999.
The suspect, whose name is known but cannot be revealed, is expected to appear in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
