The African Diplomatic Group in Abuja has condemned the activities of Boko Haram and called for the immediate release of the abducted Chibok school girls.
Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Abuja and Ambassador of Shaharawi Arab Republic, Oubi Bachir made the remarks at the observance of Africa and Mandela Day held in Abuja.
Bachir also commiserated with the government of Nigeria, the families of the kidnapped girls and other victims of terrorist attacks.
The Africa Group condemns all threats to the progress of Africa, including Boko Haram terror attacks that have taken the lives of hundreds of innocent Nigerians and families of the victims for loss of their loved ones, he said.
Also speaking, the High Commissioner of South Africa to Nigeria, Lulu Mnguni who paid tribute Mandela, called on all well-meaning individuals to emulate the iconic virtues of the late former South African president.
