Somali Minister Of Labor And Social Affairs Concludes Visit To Saudi Arabia.

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Somali Government, HE Abdiwahab Ugas Hussein Ugas Khalif has concluded a working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The purpose of the trip was to attend the 41st Ministerial Conference on Labor and Social Affairs, the Arab League, hosted by the Saudi government. During the conference, the impact of COVID-19 and the emergencies faced by the Arab League countries were discussed.

“During the conference we shared with the Arab League and the participating ministers Somalia’s efforts to prevent COVID-19, but in the most difficult situation we are facing, I told them that the drought situation in Somalia is difficult.” said Minister Abdiwahab.

“The Arab League ministers I met with and the Saudi government, which hosted the conference, assured us that they would contribute to the impact of the drought and community development efforts,” added Minister Abdiwahab.

The Minister thanked his Saudi counterpart for hosting the conference and praised his role in the Arab League cooperation. He added that he had also received invitations from his Saudi counterpart and ministers.

“This conference has come at a crucial time, as well as the Ministers and the Arab League. Our efforts in job creation and social development have assured us that they will play a significant role, and they have extended an official invitation to me. support and shared experience. ” finally said the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Somalia.
