Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Wopke Hoekstra (Athens, 04. 04. 2022)

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, will host the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Wopke Hoekstra, in Athens tomorrow, Monday April 4, 2022.

The two Foreign Ministers will hold a private meeting, which will be followed by expanded talks.

Joint statements to the press are expected to take place at approximately 12:05.

Talks between the two Foreign Ministers are expected to focus on the situation in Ukraine following the Russian invasion, on developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Cyprus issue, the Middle East, as well as on the Western Balkans.

In addition, talks will also cover the rapidly growing bilateral relations in a wide range of areas, as well as cooperation between the two countries within the EU, NATO, the United Nations and other international organizations.

The visit of the Dutch Foreign Minister is part of the regular contacts between the two sides, following Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ visit to the Netherlands in 2019 and his Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte’s visit to Greece in 2021.
