Saied recommends that criminal reconciliation cases be ruled on “as soon as possible”

Receiving on Tuesday Chairman of the National Penal Reconciliation Committee Makram Ben Mna, President Kais Saied recommended that criminal reconciliation cases be ruled on “as soon as possible.”

Mna was quoted in a Presidency of the Republic press release as informing the President of the Republic that he had received dozens of reconciliation requests in compliance with the provisions of the decree-law governing the matter.

He assured the Head of State that the funds that could be recovered under these criminal reconciliation requests are large sums estimated to be in the hundreds of billions.

The committee’s activities and ways to overcome the difficulties impeding the committee to discharge its mission of recovering the stolen funds of the Tunisian people were discussed during the meeting.
