Ouagadougou Reports Minister Bazié’s Remarks on International Labor Day


OUAGADOUGOU – In his May 1 address, the Minister of State, Minister of Civil Service, Labor and Social Protection, Bassolma Bazié, highlighted four key aspects of the national commitment against challenges faced by Burkina Faso. The address was delivered in Ouagadougou on the occasion of International Labor Day.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister Bazié acknowledged the ultimate sacrifices made by Burkina Faso’s workers, including the Defence and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP), and civilians. He paid tribute to those who have died, asserting that their memories should be honored and that they should rest in peace.



Further, the Minister praised the relentless efforts and sacrifices of the citizens who, despite facing adversity, continue to support the country’s endeavors against terrorism. He noted the severe physical and psychological impacts these sacrifices have had on the individuals and their families involved in these efforts.



Additionally, Minister Bazié expressed his admiration and support for all workers who promptly and effectively supported the national call to assist the Defence and Security Forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland in combating terrorism.



Lastly, he conveyed a message of encouragement and solidarity towards Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and those who have resettled in their original locations, highlighting their ongoing challenges and the need for national solidarity.
