New York Celebrates Achievements of Burkina Faso’s Transitional Government


New York, NY – Members of the Burkinabè diaspora in New York have expressed their support for Captain Ibrahim Traoré and his government, lauding their efforts in regaining control over national territories.



According to Burkina Information Agency, president of the Association of Burkinabè of New York, the community pledged continued support to aid the transitional authorities in addressing security and development challenges. This encouragement came during a meeting with the head of Burkinabè diplomacy on Monday.



The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, currently in New York for the 57th session of the Commission on Population and Development, updated the diaspora on the homeland’s progress. He confirmed the recovery of the country, highlighted by the increasing number of territories reclaimed and the resettlement of displaced populations. At the meeting’s conclusion, the Burkinabè community in New York gathered resources to support the Patriotic Support Fund.
