Invitation South African women in Science Awards (SAWiSA) webinar- 20 October 2021

The Department of Science and Innovation invites you to participate in the South African Women in Science Awards (SAWiSA) webinar under the theme, “Technopreneurs: A Gendered Perspective”.

The webinar series seeks to attract academics, researchers, students, and policy makers as well as members of the public, with the following objectives, to:

1. share and profile the contributions of women scientists to STEMI and national development;

2. engage women scientists across the human capital development (HCD) pipeline, basic education to high-end human capital in conversations about their experiences and challenges in the sector;

3. enhance partnerships and collaborations amongst women in science organisations in South Africa, on the continent and beyond; and

4. engage the public on topical matters in science and society with a gender lens/perspective.
