Over 100 Families Displaced by Mudslides in Narok South


NAROK—More than 100 families have been displaced following mudslides in the Maasai Mau Forest belt in Narok South Sub County, triggered by the ongoing heavy rainfall affecting the region.



According to Kenya News Agency, Felix Kisalu, the mudslides occurred in Esongoroi Village, Olashapani Location, affecting over 100 households. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties. Kisalu noted that the displaced families have sought refuge in nearby churches, schools, and other safe homesteads due to the precarious conditions in their area.
