Algeria to Begin Construction of Solar Photovoltaic Power Plants in 2024

Algeria – Green Energy Cluster Algeria announced that the construction phase of solar photovoltaic power plants under the Sonelgaz-led 2000 MWp project is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2024.

According to Africa News Agency, following an 8-month tender process from February to October 2023, and additional time for the signing of contracts, the project is on track to begin construction in early 2024. The delivery of lots for this project is expected to be staggered throughout 2024 and the first half of 2025.
