Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the successful completion of Operation “Nostos 4”

Operation “Nostos 4”, launched for the evacuation of 25 people (Greek citizens, members of their families, as well as Romanian and Filipino sailors from a Greek-owned ship) from Odessa, was successfully completed.

The abovementioned, accompanied by the Consul General in Odessa, Dimitris Dochtsis, crossed the Ukraine-Moldova border, where a team from the Greek Embassy in Bucharest was waiting for them.

The Consul General is returning to Odessa, where our Consulate General, the only one of an EU Member State, continues to operate.
