OUAGADOUGOU – Approximately fifty students and staff from Badnoogo Municipal High School participated in an emergency first aid training workshop on Thursday. This initiative, part of the health cooperation between Burkina Faso and Russia, was organized by the African Initiative Association.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Azenwo Soumaïla Ayo, President of the African Initiative Association, emphasized the importance of first aid knowledge within the school environment, stating that it could be life-saving in cases of illness and accidents. The workshop, led by Russian doctor Dolbnya Dmitri as a part of the bilateral cooperation between Burkina Faso and Russia, covered essential first aid techniques including the management of seizures, injuries, loss of consciousness, airway blockages, fractures, electrocution, and drowning.

Emmanuel Nikièma, Principal of Badnoogo Municipal High School, expressed the importance of the training for both the administration and students, hoping for it to extend to all students at the school. The event also included a donation of first aid equipment, which was welcomed by the participants.
