Burkina Faso : A $981 million program for food sovereignty

As part of a program entitled “Agropastoral and Fisheries Offensive 2023-2025”, costing 981 million dollars, Burkina Faso wants to achieve food sovereignty. The program will be financed up to 54% by funds from the private sector while the rest will come from public resources. In Burkina Faso, agriculture contributes 20% to GDP and employs around 73% of the working population.
