Deputy Minister Kekana to host a Community Service Delivery Imbizo in Daveyton

The Deputy Ministers in the Presidency, Ms Pinky Kenana, alongside Deputy Minister of COGTA, Ms. Thembi Nkadimeng and Deputy Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Dr Nobuhle Nkabinde will lead a Frontline Service Delivery Monitoring and Community Service fair programme in the Ekurhuleni Municipality on 18 November 2022.

The Imbizo will serve as a platform for government to assess the state of service delivery and the quality of government services received by the community at Daveyton as well as to unblock service delivery bottlenecks aimed at improving the lives of communities of Ekurhuleni Municipality, Ward 110 in particular.

In keeping with the principles of the SA constitution, the programme will encourage both representations and participation in government programmes for an accelerated and more aligned service delivery through the DDM, as well as to facilitate commonality in solutions that will address the needs of the people of Ekurhuleni.

The programme will also raise awareness against Gender Based Violence and Femicide and address key societal issues affecting women, youth, people with disability and the LGBTIQ community.
