Séno Province Honors Educational Inspector Joseph Yaméogo for Decades of Service

Dori, Burkina Faso – The educational community of Séno province gathered in Dori on Thursday, November 23, 2023, to honor Joseph Yaméogo, the outgoing head of the basic education district (CCEB) of Dori 1, for his 39 years of dedicated service, including 12 years serving the constituency.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Joseph Yaméogo, the dean of Séno primary education inspectors, addressed the attendees, marking the event as a significant emotional milestone. He acknowledged the difficulty and pain associated with parting ways after twelve years of effective collaboration and mutual respect. Despite this, Yaméogo viewed his departure as a natural progression in his professional journey. He encouraged his former colleagues to extend the same level of trust and cooperation to his successor, Michel G Sanou, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and collective effort in continuing the educational initiatives.

Michel G Sanou, the incoming CCEB of Dori 1, expressed his commitment to advancing the ongoing educational projects, assuring his predecessor of his readiness to uphold the established standards, contingent upon receiving similar support and collaboration.

Hamadou Boureima Dicko, the provincial director of primary education and non-formal education of Séno, requested that Yaméogo remain a resource for the educational community, leveraging his vast experience for continued guidance and support.

The prefect of the department of Sampelga, Inoussa Tao, presiding over the ceremony, acknowledged Joseph Yaméogo’s significant contributions despite challenging circumstances marked by insecurity and health risks. Tao paid a heartfelt tribute to Yaméogo, who will soon be relocating to the province of Boulkiemdé to enter retirement.

Yaméogo’s departure from Séno province marks the end of a notable 12-year tenure within a 39-year career. His relocation to Boulkiemdé signifies the approaching conclusion of his professional journey, as he prepares to claim his retirement benefits.
