NAIROBI, KENYA — In response to unprecedented flooding across the country, the National Security, Defence, and Foreign Relations committee has committed to overseeing the rapid allocation of additional emergency funds and the enhancement of rescue operations. This pledge was made during the committee’s retreat, where the need for improved response strategies was acknowledged due to the unexpected severity of the floods.

According to Kenya News Agency, a member of the committee, the government is coordinating with various stakeholders to formulate robust flood management strategies. The approach includes multi-agency collaboration to ensure quick deployment of resources and effective ground coordination in the affected regions.
