Another drug dealer nabbed through disruptive operation in Polokwane

The South African Police Service in Limpopo through a disruptive operation have apprehended yet another suspect aged 39 for possession and dealing in illicit drugs in Polokwane on Wednesday 12 July 2023.

This comes after a team of members of the SAPS Limpopo Provincial Organised Crime Investigation embarked on a disruptive operation in Polokwane following a tip-off about a suspect driving around in a VW Polo suspected of dealing in illicit drugs.

The suspect’s vehicle was spotted at Bendor and tactically stopped. Upon searching the vehicle, ten balls containing Crystal meth drugs and ten containing Kat drugs were found hidden in the vehicle.

The total estimated street value of the drugs confiscated is at R5000-00.The vehicle was also confiscated for further investigation.

The Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has lauded the investigation team for their tireless efforts and for thoroughly investigating tip-offs from reliable sources and subsequently arresting the suspects. “We will continue to put more efforts on detecting drug related crimes and bring perpetrators to book, “said Lieutenant General Hadebe.

The suspect is scheduled for first court appearance before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, Friday 14 July 2023 facing charges of possession and dealing in illicit drugs.
