Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias to attend the EU Foreign Affairs Council

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, will travel tomorrow, Monday, April 11, to Luxembourg, where he will participate in the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) of the European Union.

The agenda includes a discussion on further coordination of Member States’ actions following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In addition, the “Global Gateway”, the new European strategy to boost links in digital, energy and transport sectors across the world will be discussed, as well.

Under “Current Affairs”, there will be a discussion on the Western Balkans, developments in Libya, Mali and Yemen, as well as on convening an EU-Israel Association Council.

The Czech Foreign Minister is also scheduled to brief his counterparts on the High-Level Dialogue on the Indo-Pacific, scheduled to be held on June 13th and 14th in Prague. In addition to representatives of the EU member states and EU institutions, representatives of countries from Indo-Pacific region, the United States and Canada will be invited to the meeting as well.

In the context of the FAC, the Minister of Foreign Affairs along with his European counterparts will attend a working lunch with the Foreign Ministers of Iceland and Norway.
