Burkinabè Army Conducts Successful Airstrikes on Terrorists on National Route 3

KAYA – The Burkinabè army carried out a series of precise airstrikes that neutralized a group of terrorists on National Route 3 (Kaya-Dori) this Wednesday. The operation targeted militants who had been inspecting vehicles and harassing travelers along the key roadway that extends towards the Niger border.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the terrorists had stopped a minibus and several motorcycles, conducting checks as if they controlled the area. Following these checks, the group retreated to a nearby location under some trees where they were subsequently targeted by the airstrikes. The military operation resulted in the destruction of terrorist equipment and the elimination of all the militants involved.

Post-strike, ground units from the 41st Commando Infantry Regiment and Volunteers for Defense and Homeland conducted a sweep of the area, recovering any usable materials left. This operation underscores the ongoing efforts by the Burkinabè armed forces to restore peace and maintain security, working tirelessly even on public holidays such as May 1st.
