Mnister Thulas Nxesi engages with businesses affected by unrest in Gauteng, 12-13 Aug

Minister Nxesi to inspect the unrest affected businesses and engage with employers and employees in Gauteng

In response to the widespread violence and looting in some parts of Gauteng in the second and third weeks of July 2021, the Minister of Employment and Labour, Minister Thulas Nxesi will be hosting a discussion with the affected employers and employees on Thursday, 12 and Friday 13 August 2021. The Minister will outline the Department’s financial relief measures and explain all the interventions in detail as well as procedures for accessing these benefits.

The focus will be on Vosloorus, Soweto and Tembisa Townships where the Minister will inspect the affected businesses and engage with the employers and workers.

Venue: Nguni Hall 1914 Makgoke Rd, Vosloorus followed by walkabout at Chris Hani Mall

12:30pm to 15h00 in Soweto (Jabulani Mall and Diepkloof Square)

Date: Friday, 13 August 2021

Time: 09:00-13:00

Venue: Kempton Park Civic Centre, Banquet Hall, 2nd Floor,

During these two days the Department will also offer live services to all its clients from 08:00- 16:00 at the affected Malls.
