Bogandé Community Destroys Hundreds of Liters of Counterfeit Beverages

Bogandé – In a decisive action against illegal activities, the Kolgweogo self-defense group in Bogandé, Gnagna province, destroyed 64 cartons of counterfeit pastis this Sunday. The event, witnessed by security officials and a large number of local residents, involved the disposal of approximately 768 liters of the adulterated drink, emphasizing community enforcement against health hazards posed by illicit goods.

According to Burkina Information Agency, president of the Bogandé self-defense groups, the operation was successful thanks to tips from the community, highlighting the crucial role of public cooperation. The destruction ceremony was a public affirmation of the town’s commitment to health and safety, deterring the circulation of harmful substances and fostering a safer environment for all residents.
