IPDC Secures 1.2 Million Euro Grant to Boost Water Supply in Hawassa Industrial Park

HAWASSA — The Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) has entered into a grant agreement with the German Facility Investing for Employment (IFE), securing 1.2 million euros aimed at enhancing the water infrastructure at Hawassa Industrial Park.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, CEO of IPDC, this financial infusion from IFE will significantly improve the availability of safe and potable water in the park, which is expected to boost operational capacity and job creation. Tadesse expressed gratitude towards IFE for the support and committed to ensuring the project’s timely completion. The initiative is anticipated to create employment opportunities for over 300 people and increase the satisfaction and production efficiency of the manufacturing firms operating within the industrial park.
