Bobo-Dioulasso Hosts 21st National Culture Week to Boost Economic Integration

Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso – Serge Poda, Minister in charge of trade and crafts, stated during the opening ceremony of the commercial and craft fair at the 21st National Culture Week (SNC) that the event is designed to foster economic integration. The fair, which took place on Sunday in Bobo-Dioulasso, serves as a platform for businesses to exchange experiences and form partnerships that are mutually beneficial.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the fair is a key part of the efforts by member countries to strengthen their trade relationships and facilitate sub-regional economic integration. Despite facing national challenges, the authorities ensured the event went ahead, recognizing the vital role of culture in the national economy. Poda highlighted that the limited resources available for this year’s event should be viewed as a motivator rather than a cause for disappointment.

Poda also mentioned that several new features were introduced at this year’s fair, including online subscriptions that allowed participants from all over Burkina Faso to register remotely and a committee to oversee the allocation of stands, ensuring broad participation.
