Commission on Restitution of Land Rights on no corruption involved in North West land claims

On Friday May 14, 2021 Chief Land Claims Commissioner Ms Nomfundo Ntloko-Gobodo participated in a discussion on radio station Power FM along with Ms Nokwanda Sihlali who was identified as a researcher employed by the Land & Accountability Research Centre (LARC), to talk about how the new project that was started by the Land Claims Court to accelerate restitution claims will help the Commission on Restitution of Land Rights (CRLR) in making sure that land claimants get their land back and have better land allocation.
During this interview comments were made by Ms Sihlali which could have been understood as allegations of corruption against Mr Lengane Bogatsu who is a senior manager in the employ of the Commission on Restitution of Land Rights and is based in the North West province. The LARC has since apologised for the unfortunate comments and have undertaken to collaborate with the CRLR on claimant enquiries in the interest of expediting land claims.
