Addis Ababa Announces Launch of Digital Telethon for ‘Clean Ethiopia’

Addis Ababa – The Office of the Prime Minister announced today the launch of a digital telethon for the ‘Clean Ethiopia’ initiative, which aims to improve sanitation through the construction of modern public restrooms.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, this fundraising campaign is part of a broader initiative called ‘Clean Cities – Healthy Lives,’ which was first unveiled by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed last Friday. The initiative stresses community participation in building these facilities and is now seeking financial and material donations to support the construction.

The public is encouraged to contribute to this cause by making donations to the designated account at the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, account number 1000623230248. A prototype of the new restroom facilities has already been built and is on display within the city, serving as a concrete example of what the initiative aims to achieve across various urban areas.
