Seychelles’ Honorary Consul General in Bulgaria Maxim Behar Premieres Hip-Hop Song Celebrating PR Industry

NEW YORK — Maxim Behar, Seychelles’ Honorary Consul General in Bulgaria, premiered a hip-hop song about the public relations industry simultaneously in New York and Bulgaria last week. The song, titled “PR We Are,” debuted on Hot 21 Radio in New York, BG Radio in Sofia, and is now being played on major radio stations worldwide including Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) Paradise FM.

According to a new release by Seychelles News Agency, Behar collaborated with rap singers Big Sha and Lil Sha, as well as American country singer Sarah Harralson, to produce the single. Harralson has four Grammy entries this year, while Big Sha and Lil Sha have previously collaborated with artists like Shakira and Rihanna. The song is available on various musical platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube, among more than 100 others.

Behar, who has been in the PR business for three decades, mentioned that the song was a serious project intended to highlight the significance of the public relations industry. He described the endeavor as a way to creatively express the importance of a sector he has been part of for 30 years.

Big Sha, whose real name is Mihail Mihaylov, praised Behar’s professionalism and predicted the song’s success on international charts. He expressed his excitement to be involved in a project that brings attention to the world of public relations.

The honorary consul general explained his choice of the hip-hop genre by noting the mastery of Big Sha and Lil Sha in R&B and hip-hop, as well as the genre’s popularity in Seychelles. Behar stated that he plans to continue his musical endeavors alongside his primary career in PR. This year, he was recognized as the Best PR Professional in Europe for 2022 by PR Week magazine.

In addition to his musical and PR achievements, Behar has also published two books this year, received a state award from the President of Lithuania, and successfully completed various business projects with his company, M3 Communications Group, Inc.
