Tunisia: Tourism receipts soar 86% to 3 billion dinars until Sept 20

TUNIS, Sept 25 (NNN-TAP) — Tourism revenues soared 86% from the beginning of the year until Sept 20, to 3 billion dinars, according to the latest figures published by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).

The Bank also reported a 15.6% increase in cumulative labour income, to 6.4 billion dinars from 5.5 billion dinars in September 2021.

On the other hand, the accumulated foreign debt services saw a 29% decline, to 6.1 billion dinars.

As for net foreign foreign assets (NFA), they reached 23.8 billion dinars as of Sept 23, equivalent to 112 days of imports, against 19.7 billion dinars and 122 days of import at the same date of the previous year.

The overall volume of bank refinancing has exceeded 11.9 billion dinars as of Sept 22, up 10.6% compared to the same period of 2021.
