Criminal Service investigates murder of eight young people

Ramiros – The Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) is investigating the murder of eight young people that occurred in Luanda’s Cacuaco Municipality following their kidnapping on February 14, the SIC said in a statement on Wednesday.

The SIC added that relatives of the victims reported their missing to the authorities, saying they had been kidnapped from a guesthouse they were found celebrating Valentine’s Day.

According to the SIC statement, witnesses confirmed that the young people were taken by four unidentified individuals, who were already there before the victims’ presence, armed with pistols and making death threats, having destroyed the video surveillance system of the guesthouse.

On February 17, relatives of the missing young people identified the bodies of the missing young people in a hospital mortuary.

Considering that the facts reveal high complexity and concern of public safety, the SIC says it is carrying out diligences to identify and locate the perpetrators of this heinous crime.
