A third Western Cape restaurant makes it into global ranking

I am ecstatic that a third Western Cape restaurant, Fyn in Cape Town, has made it into the top 100 list of restaurants in the world for 2022, breaking into the top 50 category (37th position).

Last week, we celebrated the news that two other Western Cape restaurants had made it into the 51 to 100 ranking, namely:

• In 56th position, La Colombe, in Cape Town; and

• In 90th position, Wolfgat, in Paternoster.

The ranking is done by the prestigious The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2022, with the top 50 being revealed yesterday, 18 July.

I again extend my congratulations to the teams at these restaurants, who have helped put our province on the culinary world map. This will provide yet another reason for both domestic and international visitors to choose Cape Town and the Western Cape for their next holiday.
