Somali National Army and Local Forces Target Al-Shabaab Ringleaders in Ceeldheer District

The Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism of Somalia, HE Abdirahman Yusuf Al Adala, announced that the Somali National Army (SNA), along with local forces, carried out an operation in Ceeldheer district of the Galgadud region. The operation targeted leaders of the Al-Shabaab terrorist group, resulting in executions and apprehensions.

According to Somali National News Agency, Among those apprehended was a notable figure in the district, known as Abaas Garoobshe. Additionally, the forces eliminated a known Al-Shabaab figure named Ilkacase. The SNA and local militia, committed to defending their country, continue their efforts to eradicate the threat of Al-Shabaab militants across Somalia. This operation is part of ongoing military actions to ensure national security and eliminate terrorist activities within the country.
