Nyeri Assembly Tops National Performance Ranking

NYERI – The County Assembly of Nyeri has been distinguished as the highest performing legislative body in the nation, according to the latest County Trak Performance Index by Infotrak Research. The assessment, spanning from July to August 2023, evaluated the performance of all 47 counties in Kenya.

According to Kenya News Agency, the County TrakTMP performance index serves as a citizen’s report card on county governments, measuring them against specific key performance indicators. Nyeri’s Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) received the highest marks from the public in their roles of oversight, legislation, and representation.

During an address at the County Assembly of Nyeri, Speaker James Gichuhi, along with the Assembly, expressed gratitude for the recognition. Gichuhi affirmed the MCAs’ dedication to maintaining and exceeding the performance standards that have positioned them at the forefront of county governance. The Speaker committed to the continued service of the Nyeri residents with integrity and diligence.
