Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams to attend the symposium on Equity for Black Entrepreneurs

The Minister of the Department of Small Business Development, Ms. Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams will attend the Symposium on Equity for Black Entrepreneurs at the East London ICC on Tuesday 30 August 2022. Under the theme “Advancing Support for Black Entrepreneurs Through Equity Finance,” the symposium seeks to explore the different equity instruments available for supporting black entrepreneurs.

The event will also identify gaps within the existing initiatives; explore the development of interventions for supporting black entrepreneurs through equity financing across different sectors, as well as opportunities for building into existing initiatives. It will further come up with proposals and action plan for supporting black entrepreneurs in bridging the equity gap.

Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams is expected to use the event to share ideas on the role of Government in Supporting Small Businesses through Equity Funding.
