Holiday sports tournament: AS Collective wins the 8th edition

The AS Collective of Kolg-Naba won the 8th edition of the ‘Tournoi vacances sport’ on Saturday September 23 in Ouagadougou, beating the amateur football team of Ouidi (FAO) by narrow score of 1 goal to 0, we noted.

The Academicians of the AS Collective (ASC) set a hellish pace for the FAO team from the start of the match, forcing them to cower in their camp to defend them. Despite this resistance, the ASC players will gain the upper hand.

ASC captain Abdoul Fatao Kaboré will find the net (22nd) after a cleverly orchestrated collective action.

The score will thus remain unchanged until the end of the game despite some offensive actions by FAO. The AS Collective for its victory won 100,000 f, a set of jerseys and a ball leaving its challenger, the FAO, the sum of 75,000 FCFA, a set of jerseys and a ball.

For ASC scorer captain Abdoul Fatao Kaboré the battle on the field was tough to overcome the opponent.

‘We played as a team to get this victory. We were really united on the ground,’ he said.

For the
promoter of the Sports Holiday Tournament, Jérôme Compaoré, ‘the results are satisfactory. The performance of the two teams was fascinating to the extent that both teams were able to play with a sense of fair play, with a sense of cohesion and solidarity.

‘We are only promoting these values ??so that we can live better in Burkinabe society. All the teams were able to grasp the deep meaning of the theme which is resilience with the situation we are currently experiencing. They also promoted the value of practicing sport among young people, among the population.’

The sponsor of the tournament, Mohamed Compaoré says he supports the initiative, because of ‘his love for youth and his love for the homeland. The words of the theme are very strong and fit very well with the context of our country. Despite the difficulties he always had the courage to do it. This 8th edition is that of maturity and it deserves that we can always support it.

An aerobics session took place with the massive participation of the popula
tions of the surrounding areas, a few hours before the start of the final. The competition began on September 16 under the theme, ‘resilience and promotion of the practice of sport’.
