Defense: the Head of State exchanges with a Russian delegation

The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE received in audience, this Saturday morning, a delegation from the Russian military hierarchy.

This audience follows the discussions initiated during the participation of Captain Ibrahim TRAORE in the 2nd economic and humanitarian summit held in Saint Petersburg at the end of July 2023. With the Russian delegation, it was therefore a question of the operationalization of certain mutually made commitments by the two States, particularly on the military level.

At the end of the audience with the President of the Transition, the delegation of the Russian military hierarchy had a working session with the Burkinabe military hierarchy, under the chairmanship of the Minister of State in charge of Defense, Colonel Major Kassoum Coulibaly.
